Philanthropy Coordinator Kids’ Food Basket Location: Kent County | Department: Philanthropy | Status: Non-Exempt At Kids’ Food Basket, we believe every child deserves access to nourishing meals and a community that cares. What You’ll Do As our Philanthropy Coordinator , you’ll support the systems that keep our donor community engaged and our mission moving forward. You will: Support the VP and Senior Director of Philanthropy with calendar management, scheduling, and administrative coordination. Work with the Events team to process sponsorships, track invoices, and assist with follow-up tasks. Assist Finance by processing incoming donations, including opening, scanning, coding, and entering gifts. Prepare acknowledgment letters, thank-you messages, and donation receipts for donors. Support Raiser’s Edge functions such as gift entry, profile updates, reporting, and list generation. Manage philanthropy projects including direct mail, annual fund work, and other strategic initiatives. What You’ll Bring You are detail-oriented, mission-driven, and ready to support a strong culture of philanthropy. You bring: A high school diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred) and at least 2 years of related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with CRM or donor databases, preferably Raiser’s Edge. Knowledge of or interest in development, grants, and donor relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization, accuracy, and follow-through, with ability to support occasional evening events. A people-first mindset and interest in learning about hunger and poverty issues in West Michigan. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred) and at least 2 years of related experience.
