About The Position

This position supports the Philanthropic Partnerships division comprised of the Donor Engagement, Development, and Corporate Responsibility departments. While supporting work across the division, the role will be embedded in the Development team, and will primarily support development-related priorities. This position serves as a frontline contact for transactional matters involving prospective donors, current fundholders, corporate partners, and key professional advisors. It also serves as a key resource for database management across the division. This role supports the advising, coordination, and execution of a broad range of charitable giving and donor engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Open to learning new frameworks and thinking critically about improving existing methods or approaches.
  • Strong software skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel; experience working with Salesforce NPSP CRM and NetSuite and/or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the team, including assisting with new fund openings and related case follow-up; coordinating Lunch and Learns and off-site visits with professional advisors; and maintaining current professional advisor contacts and development lead lists.
  • Provide frontline support by email and phone to prospective donors, current donors and clients, and professional advisors. Respond to or route inquiries to the appropriate staff, share relevant marketing materials, log new development proposals in Salesforce, and update existing proposals with related correspondence.
  • Provide support for grant entries and recommendations, donor mailing lists, physical mail inbox, and physical mailings, including fund statements and inactive fund outreach.
  • Assist with managing donor engagement cases and preparing weekly and monthly fund reports.
  • Conduct research on prospective donors and key professional advisors, developing concise summaries and profiles as requested.
  • Provide support for digitization projects, including fund folders.
  • Serve as key team resource for SVCF’s donor/client databases and donor/client portal.
  • Provide regular and as-needed database reports and analyses.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining dashboards that report outcomes and track progress across the division. Support staff with software platforms (e.g., iWave, Kindsight, RedPepper, and Power BI), coordinating with other departments and outside consultants as needed.
  • Maintain and manage updates, customizations and password resets.
  • Provide portal training and troubleshooting to donors, clients, and other partners.
  • Provide administrative, logistical, and budget support for the annual Conference on Charitable Giving. Responsibilities include coordinating the collection of sponsorship revenue and materials, gathering speaker information and biographies, tracking expenses and submitting receipts through Concur, and assisting with conference planning and execution.
  • Support conferences, events, and sponsorship-related attendance; assist with routine budget reporting; collaborate with other departments on development lists and content; and maintain accurate campaign information in Salesforce and other systems of record.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of events, such as meetings and webinars.
  • Support efforts to promote and monitor attendance at events.
  • Take a lead role on list management for events, from data pulls to follow-up.
  • Participate in cross-department collaborations and efforts with other departments to build on the work of Philanthropic Partnerships.
  • Assist with Philanthropic Partnerships and foundation-wide special projects.
  • Guide, train and serve as a resource to others regarding SVCF’s systems and technologies and department-specific procedures and processes.
