About The Position

At CVS Health retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, best practices, and effective communication practices, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. After starting, technicians must complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians contribute to safe and effective pharmacy operations, including prescription workflow, patient service, inventory activities, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, they may also provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizers may complete further training and licensure requirements, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 29. The listed hourly pay range is $16.50–$25.00; actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access to benefits and programs supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
