About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. This role involves refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, filling medication carts daily, preparing orders, and maintaining inventory for the pharmacy department. Additionally, the technician will repackage bulk medications.

Requirements

• High School diploma or the equivalent required.
• Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy in good standing and PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Intern
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
