About The Position

Winters Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Our pharmacy team works closely with medical, dental, and behavioral health providers to ensure patients receive timely access to medications and quality care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will help patients navigate prescription services, assist the pharmacist with medication preparation and distribution, process insurance claims, maintain accurate records, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment. Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).
• Current California Pharmacy Technician License.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Commitment to serving rural and underserved communities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
• Experience with OCHIN Epic and RX30 Pharmacy Management System.
• Experience in an integrated healthcare setting or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients with prescription pick-up, refill requests, and pharmacy-related questions.
• Verify patient and prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Process insurance claims and assist with resolving billing issues.
• Collect payments and process point-of-sale transactions.
• Enter and maintain patient information within OCHIN Epic and RX30 Pharmacy Management systems.
• Respond to patient inquiries and appropriately triage clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing patient and provider calls.
• Collaborate with medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy teams to support whole-person care.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and organizational initiatives.
• Support quality improvement activities and patient service excellence.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmacy supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
• Support administrative and operational tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
