About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with medication dispensing and distribution. The role performs technical and non-technical duties related to acquiring, storing, and dispensing medications at Lourdes Health System. This is a full-time, on-site position on the second shift, totaling 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Pharmacy technicians must apply to the Board for registration within 10 days of hire; the Board will provide registration within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and fill orders as prescribed under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Perform medication exchanges, pick-ups, and deliveries.
• Demonstrate knowledge of preparing sterile IV products.
• Prepare unit-dose medication from bulk packaging.
• Manage inventory and complete related documentation.
• Maintain automated dispensing devices.
• Perform medication-area inspections.
