About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on applicable law and training, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunizer duties may include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, collecting and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
