About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient works full-time on the day shift with rotating weekends. The technician procures and distributes medication orders at the request of a physician or pharmacist, or according to a prearranged work assignment, following established policies, procedures, and protocols. The role is part of a patient-focused team at Valley View Medical Center.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy technician certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) is preferred; candidates with provisional certification from DORA will be considered.
Two to three years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
