About The Position

Pharmacy4Humanity, an AIDS Healthcare Foundation company, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for its Central Fill Pharmacy. The organization, founded in 1987, is the largest specialized provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the nation, with a mission to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with various departments within Pharmacy and other divisions of AHF, as well as patients and partners. They will present a friendly and helpful demeanor to patients, assist with prescription transfers, and handle grievances or complaints. The role involves answering incoming calls, greeting patients, problem-solving, and providing a calming influence in stressful situations. The technician is also expected to be friendly and helpful to colleagues, offer assistance, and provide feedback to management for service improvement. Adaptability and flexibility are key to this role.

Requirements

Full-time availability.
Ability to work a rotating schedule of 4x10hr shifts.
Schedule rotation includes: 2 weeks Tuesday - Friday, 2 weeks Monday - Thursday, 1 week Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, 1 week Sun, Mon, Fri, Sat.
Work shift time: 6 AM - 5 PM.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming calls.
Meet and greet patients in the Pharmacy.
Present a friendly smile, a helpful voice, and a helpful attitude to patients, clients, and customers.
Assist patients seeking services or information.
Facilitate prescription transfers to AHF.
Handle grievances or complaints.
Act as a problem solver, providing a "helping hand".
Provide a calming influence to patients in stressful situations.
Be friendly and helpful to other AHF Pharmacy employees and offer assistance when needed.
Provide feedback to management about service improvement.
Adapt to various situations with ease and be flexible.
