CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and serve as an initial point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable laws and policies while communicating effectively and contributing to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting in the role, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may prepare and administer vaccines after completing required licensure and training. This can include educating patients about vaccines, referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responding to and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe. The posted schedule is 25 hours per week and the role is part-time. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. Benefit eligibility and availability depend on hours worked and other eligibility criteria.
