About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflows, best practices, and applicable laws and professional standards. They must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may support patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permissible, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensing and training, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require.
