About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until requirements are complete. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, technicians may provide additional health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizer duties may include vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referral, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, reviewing and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
