About The Position

Wegmans pharmacy technicians help build customer trust by providing attentive service and supporting customers’ medical care and health-service needs. They work in a fast-paced pharmacy with a team focused on safe, compliant medication preparation and dispensing. Applicants for this position must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and certified with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and certified with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
• Proficient computer and data-entry skills.
• Basic math skills, including unit conversions, to perform dosage calculations and calculate day supply while ensuring patient safety.
• Problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service with patience, empathy, and care in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform dosage calculations and unit conversions while following regulatory standards and company policies.
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to support customers.
• Accurately and efficiently enter prescription information.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Handle medications properly and follow department policies and procedures.
