About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in retail locations by helping ensure safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment and excellent patient service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices at workstations such as production, pickup, drive-thru, and drop-off. They serve as a frequent first point of contact for patients, communicate with care and empathy, and help resolve or escalate patient concerns. Technicians complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, the role may also include supporting immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Technician immunizer duties, where permitted, include completing additional training and licensure, educating patients about vaccines and referring clinical questions to the pharmacist, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at the home store or other stores in the market as business needs require. It is part-time, with 25 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $17.00–$27.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access to benefits and programs supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
