About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable laws and regulations, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting, technicians must complete a company training program and meet state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until all required qualifications are met. Depending on applicable laws and training, technicians may also support immunizations and other health services, including point-of-care testing and offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunization support includes completing additional licensure and training, educating patients and referring clinical questions to the pharmacist, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
