About The Position

This position is for a Pharmacy Technician (Level III) at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. The role involves working a 100% FTE schedule, Monday through Friday, with specific hours and rotating weekend and holiday duties. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay.

Requirements

Hospital experience in unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications including USP<795>, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology.
Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation.
Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR.
Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued.
