About The Position
This position is for a Pharmacy Technician (Level III) at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. The role involves working 100% FTE, with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, including rotating weekends. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay.
Requirements
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR.
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued.
Responsibilities
- Hospital experience in unit dose distribution
- Compounding non-sterile medications including USP<795>
- IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>
- Automated dispensing machine technology
