About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often a first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where allowed by law and supported by training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. In states where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training to prepare and administer vaccines and support related patient education, documentation, supply management, and adverse-reaction response.
