About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture. Technicians must complete the company training program and meet state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and applicable training and certification, technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunizer duties may include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, referring vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
