Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the functions of its mental health pharmacy, primarily by dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. The role is part of a coordinated care team serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. The technician helps people with complex health conditions obtain the right medications and follow their treatment plans. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The position is located at 120 Costal Horizons Dr., Shallotte, NC 28470.
Requirements
- Hold an active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in North Carolina.
- Have access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Pharmacy and prescription data-entry experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and the clinic.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
- Work with the pharmacist to assist with pharmacy functions and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicate using strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
