Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Palmyra, PA
•$17 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable legal and professional requirements, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. They must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until then, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and required training, technicians may provide additional patient health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require.
