About The Position
This position is responsible for accurately refilling the Pyxis system, which includes pulling the correct medication from stock, ensuring the appropriate quantity, complying with check-off procedures, and verifying quantities and expiration dates when placing products in the nursing area Pyxis. The technician should be aware of and able to utilize Pyxis reports as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- One year hospital experience preferred
- Retail experience is acceptable
Responsibilities
- Refills pyxis accurately; including pulling correct medication from stock, appropriate quantity, complies with check off procedures, correctly places product in nursing area pyxis- verifying quantities and expiration dates.
- Aware of pyxis reports and can utilize them when needed.
