About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and help create a safe, inclusive environment. After entering the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy the registration, licensing, and certification requirements established by their state’s Board of Pharmacy. Until requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide additional patient health services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Immunization support requires additional licensure and training and may include vaccine preparation and administration.
