Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Ozone Park, NY

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring, personalized service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Technician immunizers must complete required additional training and licensure, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of 29 per week. The typical pay range is $19.00–$29.00 per hour; actual offers depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The role is eligible for benefits and programs supporting colleagues’ well-being, with availability dependent on hours worked and eligibility.
