About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are met. Depending on state law and required training, technicians may also support additional health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
