About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After entering the role, technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on applicable law and completed training or certification, technicians may also support immunizations and other patient health services, including point-of-care testing and offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunization support can include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients and referring clinical questions to the pharmacist, monitoring and reporting adverse reactions, collecting and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
