Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Madera, CA

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, applicable laws and professional standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet registration, licensing, and certification requirements set by their state. Until requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technicians who support immunizations must meet additional licensure and training requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $18.90–$28.90 per hour. The position is eligible for a range of benefits and programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
