About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring, personalized service. Technicians work as part of the pharmacy team, follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace. After starting, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are completed. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers must meet additional state requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
