Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Santa Clarita, CA

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable laws and professional standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties until these requirements are met. Depending on state law and additional training and certification, technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Technician immunizer responsibilities can include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients and referring vaccination questions to the pharmacist, responding to and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of 16 per week. The stated pay range is $20.12 per hour. Eligible benefits and programs may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
