Pharmacy Technician - Credena Pharmacy - Providence Anchorage
About The Position
We are hiring for a Pharmacy Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with 8-hour Day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. The role involves performing all typical duties of a retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Alaska Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. The technician will fill physician orders for patient medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and communicate with and service the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas within the pharmacy are expected, including specific certifications such as immunization administration or MTM. Requirements
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
- 1 year of experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice
- 1 year of Customer Service experience
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
- For internal promotion candidates, must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician.
- External candidates are required to have equivalent experience to Associate Pharmacy Technician responsibilities.
Responsibilities
