About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and help deliver safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient service. Working as part of the pharmacy team, Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and best practices at pharmacy workstations, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. They complete a company training program and meet the registration, licensing, and certification requirements of their state; until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians assist patients at pickup, drive-thru, and by phone; support pharmacy workflow and basic inventory activities; and comply with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, and CVS policies. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, they may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing or staff offsite clinics. Pharmacy Technicians who obtain Technician Immunizer status may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccine questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require. It involves customer service, communication, attention and focus, math, problem resolution, and physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, handling and scanning items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour.
