CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians work as part of the pharmacy team, follow standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace. After entering the role, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on state law and required training or certification, Technicians may also support patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunization support can include preparing and administering vaccines after obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients and referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responding to and reporting adverse reactions, collecting and documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access, depending on hours worked and eligibility, to benefits and programs supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being, including dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits.
