About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures, pharmacy workflow procedures, and effective communication practices, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. Until those requirements are satisfied, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and required training or certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic support. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
