About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring, personalized service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable legal, professional, and ethical requirements. After starting, they must complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are met. Technicians support prescription fulfillment, patient service, inventory activities, pharmacy safety, and team effectiveness. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, they may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing or staff offsite clinics. A technician who obtains Technician Immunizer status may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to travel to other stores in the market as business needs require. The listed pay range is $18.90–$28.90 per hour. Benefits available to eligible part-time colleagues, depending on hours worked and eligibility, include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.
