About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in a retail store. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring, personalized service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. They must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until then, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. The position may include supporting patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, as permitted by law and with required training and certification. Where permitted, technicians may obtain Technician Immunizer status and help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require.
