CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and required training, technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. In locations where permitted, immunizer duties include completing additional licensing and training, educating patients about vaccines, referring vaccination questions to the pharmacist, responding to adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require. The role involves customer service, teamwork, communication, attention to detail, mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and physical tasks such as standing, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and close visual work. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.
