CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting in the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict the Technician’s duties. Depending on applicable law and required training, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizer duties may include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responding to and reporting adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe. The role involves customer and team service, communication, attention and focus, mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and a range of physical activities, including standing, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and lifting. The anticipated schedule is 32 hours per week. This is a full-time position with an hourly pay range of $18.55 to $18.55. The position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
