About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may prepare and administer vaccines after completing applicable licensure and training requirements. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require.
