About The Position

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, a part of The Cigna Group, is looking for high-energy, positive individuals to join their pharmacy technician team. This role is crucial in ensuring prescriptions are dispensed and shipped appropriately within corporate and regulatory guidelines, so they can arrive in the hands of the patients whose health depends on their delivery. The position is onsite in Norcross, GA, in the Peachtree Corners, GA area, with a shift available from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a dispensing pharmacy setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy production environment.
  • Basic math skills
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification preferred.
  • Preferably within a retail/specialty pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

  • Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare the labels that correspond.
  • Help manage and store inventory in a correct and safe manner following USP Guidelines.
  • Use problem-solving skills to help patients be at their best every day.
  • Work with a skilled team to ensure patients get the medication they need in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and production clerks to ensure that medications are adequately filled and support the pharmacy's quality goals.
  • Deliver administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.
  • Work to clearly define procedures under close supervision.
  • Pick up medication and help on the packing line.
  • Work within USP 800 Hazardous Guidelines and other drug handling guidelines to ensure the safety of the team and patients.
