About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. After starting, they must complete company training and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until requirements are completed. Depending on applicable law and training, Technicians may provide additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work in other stores in the market as business needs arise.
