About The Position
The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED
- At least 18 years of age
- PHTC-Pharmacy Tech, PHCT2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification, Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification, or Active Pharmacy student with Pharmacy Technician (PHTC) student license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 1 year of experience
Nice To Haves
- 1 year pharmacy experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations.
- Intermediate computer skills.
