About The Position

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until then, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. The role supports pharmacy workflow, patient service, inventory activities, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, ethical principles, and CVS policies. Where permitted and with required training and certification, Technicians may provide additional health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing. Technicians may also obtain Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, patient-information documentation, and vaccine-supply management. This is a full-time position with 30 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $17.00–$27.00 per hour. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and may require travel to other stores in the market to meet business needs. Physical duties include standing or remaining upright for extended periods, handling and moving items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, close visual work, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
