About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After joining, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians may also provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer clinical questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
