About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and help create a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on state law, training, and certification, Technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Technician immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
