Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•San Jose, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and help foster a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. A Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties until those requirements are complete. Depending on state law and required training, technicians may also support immunizations and other patient health services, including point-of-care testing and offsite clinics. Technicians who obtain Technician Immunizer status may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $20.10 per hour.
