Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Norco, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

At CVS Health retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until then, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. The role includes supporting prescription fulfillment and pharmacy workflows, assisting patients in person, at drive-thru, and over the phone, and performing basic inventory tasks. Depending on applicable law, training, and certification, technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market when needed. The position is full-time, with anticipated hours of 40 per week.
