Pharmacy Technician

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, Technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where allowed, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography. Eligible colleagues receive a comprehensive benefits package.
