About The Position

Onco360 is hiring an Intake and Prescription Processing Pharmacy Technician for its specialty pharmacy in Scottsdale, Arizona. The technician supports patients living with cancer and rare diseases, along with caregivers, providers, and pharmacists, throughout the prescription process. The role involves working collaboratively in a specialty pharmacy environment and applying attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The position is full-time, with Monday–Friday scheduled eight-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Work is hybrid or remote after onsite training. Starting pay is $24 per hour and up, with a quarterly incentive bonus. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to employees who start before December 31, 2026.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy technician license or registration, as required by state law.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT through PTCB or NHA) where required by the applicable state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, medication brand and generic names, and general pharmacy terminology.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
• Intermediate typing and keyboarding skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to input information accurately and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles and process orders promptly from electronic prescription and fax queues.
• Request refill prescriptions as appropriate.
• Manage incoming documents from the fax server.
• Generate and type prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification.
• Follow up on outbound prescription transfers.
• Clarify patient demographic and clinical information needed to process prescriptions.
