About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers complete additional requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
