CVS Health•Artesia, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are met. Depending on applicable laws, training, and certification, technicians may also provide health care services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensing and training, educate patients about vaccines, refer vaccine questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
